We are very pleased to highly recommend Danville Hardwood for anyone’s new floors. Our experience with this professional organization was terrific. Dan Yorke, the owner, came to our house and listened to our thoughts about color and placement. The next day he brought 7 different samples of exotic woods with an install estimate for each. After living with the samples for a few days and gaining input from others, we chose our wood. Dan recommended the matching wood vent which is a must for any quality installation. The installers, Barry and his crew, were real craftsmen. They exceeded our very picky, with excessive attention to detail, expectations. We welcome anyone who would like to see our installation or who might have questions.
I am so thrilled with my new hardwood floors. I am an elderly senior with chronic respiratory issues which sends me to the hospital every year! Since Danville Hardwood installed my hardwood floors I have averted the hospital! Danville Hardwood and their installers were wll aware of my condition and took care to be fastitious with their installation and clean up each day. They were so professional yet attentive, giving me that personal touch that is hard to find. Living here for over 30 years, I did not relish the moving of all my antiques, computers, china, etc but they handled everything with such care!
Oh-My-God! I usually only say this about food, but, well, Oh-My-God!
I was going to go with Direct Flooring, and they’re great guys, but I’m so, so, so glad I went with Danville Hardwood. I cannot even begin to describe the impeccable detail that went into my job. I still can’t believe it. It’s perfect to the millimeter.
Many/most installers are going to float over your floor with an underlayment to avoid having to properly prepare your subfloor. Dan sent a crew out that was beyond my comprehension to believe. These guys spent days on their hands and knees grinding, polishing and cleaning. The end result was a concrete slab that you could not only eat off of, but could actually serve as the floor!
After the painters were done, Dan’s crew came back and finished prepping. They laid down a sealant that made the floor look like glass. Next came the floor. I’ve neer seen detail like this. Even the finish carpenter/crown/trim guy who was there commented how accurate they were with the base boards.
They finished the floor in four days and didn’t leave a spec of dust behind. As a matter of fact, the place was FAR cleaner than when they found it. Beyond that, my floors define the concept of perfection.
Before my floors were laid I had a huge leak. Another contractor doing demo popped a toilet and water was flooding down onto my first floor. Dan’s guy, Barry, ran upstairs and shut it down. I called him later that evening and found out that he was at Home Depot buying a cap for my leaky plumbing valve that he later installed for me. Holy cow!
He also bought, at his own cost, and installed paper all over the floors so that the painters wouldn’t have to prep or spray the sub-floor. This was two weeks prior to the hardwood install. Who does that? I know who – NO ONE.
I am beyond grateful that I chose Danville Hardwood to do my job. I shiver at the thought of anyone else installing my floors as I swear on my life that it’s not possible to do better work.
Dan and his crew are pure magic. Now, pardon me while I go find a tissue to wipe this tear from my eye… it happens every time I look at my floors.
